I have a strong desire to not only be a part of the community, but to join in helping its people. With this in mind I joined the Search and Rescue Team as a volunteer member and diver, for Bingham county, in November 2007. Many of the opportunities that I have participated in include searching for lost individuals on snow machines and 4 wheelers, diving for drowning victims, and other search and rescue tasks. I am very active in training for any opportunity needed to help this community. I have been certified in the following courses in order to obtain my Master Diver Level: Stress and Rescue, Deep Diving, Boat Diving, Limited Visibility Navigation, and Dry Suit Diving. This does not make me feel I know everything about diving. Like Real Estate, I learn something new every time I practice or perform my duties.
I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on becoming more like my Brother. I expect myself to be physically harder and mentally stronger everyday. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw upon every remaining ounce of strength to protect my family, my friends, and to accomplish our goals.
I am never out of the fight.
I grew up in Indiana and will always consider a piece of me a “Hoosier”. I grew up the second oldest of 8 kids. My dad was a teacher and while I was in fourth grade, I decided I wanted to be a teacher too. When I graduated from High School, my family moved to Idaho and I started my college days at Ricks college in Rexburg. After I married my husband Jeff, we moved to Boise where I graduated from Boise State University with my education degree and we started our family. We have three amazing children, which I can’t get enough of, and definitely my favorite job ever…being a mom! After a move to Idaho Falls, and all of my children were in school, I tried to get back into teaching. Although I enjoyed it, other circumstances and roads lead me in a different direction working in Real Estate. I am forever grateful for that road that lead me to Real Estate and I still get excited everyday for what new Real Estate adventure comes my way.
My favorite Real Estate path so far was when I started working with Russ as a buyers agent in 2014. I have learned a lot about myself and real estate working with him. He has a phenomenal gift for helping people and doing good for all he comes in contact with. It is definitely contagious. I especially have enjoyed learning more about investment properties. Having an educator background, I love to learn and I also love to help educate people about the market and about the home buying process. Helping someone facilitate a home purchase and being able to hand the keys to a client who just closed on their new home is the best part of my job for sure. I will never forget this one day when I pulled up in front of one of my clients houses. They were meeting me there so I could hand them the keys to their home and their 4 year old son was on the front porch waiting for me to show up. As I got out of my car and said hello, he just looked at me with a huge smile on his face and said, “This is my new house!”
Moments like that are why I love being a Realtor as much as I do!
My love of photography is how I got my start in real estate. I took pictures of homes for agents that were getting ready to put those homes on the market. I did that for about a year and half when Becca approached me about getting my license and working as a showing assistant/licensed assistant for the Russ Donahoo team. I got my license in March of 2016 and have loved every day since!
